Event planning seems to have been born inside of me. The first event I planned was in 5th grade when I convinced my mother to let me throw a Beverly Hills 90210 murder mystery party. I designed every detail of the party from the hand made invitations, the character plot, policewomen in uniform coming to the scene of the crime, chalk lined body and more. From then on I had the must attend party of the year. In High School I continued through student government planning school dances and half time shows. My biggest and most personal event to date was my wedding in 2010. I had every overlay custom made, made all of the paper goods, my family members made the flowers I had designed with my mother and ever single song played at our wedding held a purpose. After our wedding I had more and more people reaching out to me to help coordinate their weddings, parties and events. Now that I have children of my own the kid parties give me an excuse for an over the top and memorable family event.
For me, Down Emery Lane is a love affair with details. I love to see an event come to life. I can imagine it, design it, create it and watch the entire vision come to life. I love the process of the light bulb going off with an idea and then making that idea a reality. I want to share my passion and love with you and help to create those extra special touches for your next event.
Jessica Herron, Creative Consultant/Wedding & Event Coordinator
Jessica has recently become more active with Down Emery Lane in the last year and we are so thankful to have her on our team. Jessica and I have always worked well together in previous ventures and Jessica joining Down Emery Lane officially came naturally. She likes to call herself my "creative consultant" because she is my sounding board for all of my ideas. I call her when I have a wild idea and she can let me know just how over the top it is. Jessica is a born leader with a creative vision and attention to detail that we greatly appreciate. Jessica has had many years of managerial training and those carry over to make her wedding and event coordination skills top notch. She keeps her brides on budget and is great at accomplishing all tasks in a timely fashion. Jessica is the task keeper for our team and keeps everything running on schedule. Jessica is also our personal shopper. If you are looking for something she is more than willing to shop until she drops to find just the right item, at just the right price. Jessica is a great asset to Down Emery Lane and any bride or host is lucky to have her on their side.
Julie Fritz, Creative Consultant/Florist
Jessica and Jaclyn both "got it from their Mama" when it comes to party planning. All of those fantastic themed parties started out as their own kid parties. Julie is celebrating her 40th year as a florist this summer. She has been doing flowers our entire life and everything she does was passed on to us. Julie boasts that she planned parties and events prior to the Pinterest era and she can come up with a party game or craft off the top of her head. Her ability to have a vision and then bring something to life is what sets her apart. She has making dreams come true for over 40 years and we are so thankful to have her on our side for the next 40.
